Book Reviews, Thoughts, and Random Interesting Ideas

OK, this is the third day of this blog, I am going to stop with the day after day thing after today. Even though this is the third installment, I don’t want to overwhelm readers with blog posts everyday. First, today I wanted to thank those who have purchased my book. I also wanted everyone to know that I am hard at work on the rest of the series and will be sending the second book, The Amethyst, to my amazing editor Abby. She will transform the raw manuscript into a polished book. I hope reading (and reviewing) The Carnelian will encourage you to read and review the rest of The Gemstone Chronicles series! And remember, the reviews don’t have to be long or detailed. Just a few words about what you liked or didn’t like is greatly appreciated! On the second day on my fledgling career as an author, I sold my first book!!! In the beginning of this literary journey, I had no idea where it would lead. But, with the unfailing encouragement of my lovely wife, the inspiration provided by my grandchildren, and the help of my brother John, I made it to this point. What point, you ask? The e-publication of my first novel, The Gemstone Chronicles Book One: The Carnelian!

This is an exciting event for me. I have been working on the book series for about a year. In the beginning, I didn’t have an editor, but Abby, my softball playing friend and grammar aficionado Abby worked her magic on the manuscript to turn my idea into the product you see today. The story is set in the north Georgia Mountains and the magical world of Celahir. The book chronicles the adventures of Aidan and Maggie, and their grandparents, Nana and Beebop! Filled with elves, magic, and a quest to recover the gemstones stolen from the Elven Bow, it will entertain readers of all ages!
